Connectivity Issue - Smart Thermostats

What do I do if my app has issues connecting to the wall controller?

If your system isn’t responding or seems stuck, a network reboot is often the quickest way to restore normal operation. This process safely resets your thermostat and connected equipment.

Power Reset a Smart Thermostat

Before You Start

  • Make sure no critical heating or cooling cycles are running if it’s extremely hot or cold.

  • Rebooting will temporarily turn the system off for a few minutes.

How to Reboot Your HVAC System

Depending on your equipment, choose one of the following options:

Option 1: Power Cycle the Thermostat

  1. Gently remove the magnetic thermostat faceplate from the wall mount.

  2. Wait 30 seconds.

  3. Reattach the thermostat faceplate back to the wall mount.

  4. Wait for the display to power back on (this can take up to 1-2 minutes).

This method restarts the thermostat without affecting other system settings.

Option 2: Initiate Network Reset

  1. Press Fan + Mode keys simultaneously for 10 seconds. This will access the reset menu

  2. nr - Network Reset - should appear on the screen

  3. If performing a Network reset (nr), confirm the selection with a single press of the Fan button.

Please note that performing a Network Reset will result in a power on reset of the device and likely remove the device from the app.

Note: Please consult a dealer/service technician before a Factory Reset.

After Rebooting

  • Allow a few minutes for your thermostat to reconnect to Wi-Fi and restore normal operation.

  • If you’re using the SmartHome app, check that your device is still in the app and that the system status updates. You may need to pair your device back to the app.

  • If the issue persists, try running a Wi-Fi diagnostic or contact support.
