What happened to the Home app?

The legacy version of the Carrier Home app has officially been retired on April 30, 2025, as part of our transition to the new Carrier SmartHome app. The updated app delivers a more modern experience, improved reliability, and enhanced features that support the latest smart thermostat models.

Why the Change?

The Home app was retired to improve performance and lay the groundwork for future enhancements, deliver new features like geofencing, SmartSave enrollment, and Vacation Mode, provide a more consistent experience across devices and platforms.

Will my previous settings transfer automatically?

In most cases, yes — your system settings, schedules, and profiles are stored in the cloud and will appear once you log in to the new app. Please note, some additional features may not convert into the new app, and your settings may need to be adjusted upon login.

Can I still use the old app?

The old apps are no longer supported and are not available for download. The new SmartHome App will ensure full compatibility and security of your privacy.

Is there a cost to upgrade?

No — the new SmartHome apps are free to download and use with your existing Smart Thermostat and Infinity Systems.
